ON YOUR DEVICE

Local storage & privacy

Pique Music runs in your browser. Questions, answer checking and audio work on your device. There are no accounts, tracking scripts or cloud sync.

What is saved

Sessions, answers, scores, response times, hints, lesson completions, favourites, presets and preferences are saved in this browser’s IndexedDB database. Exercise settings are also saved in local storage. No practice data is sent to a server.

Using the app offline

Open the app once and wait for “Available offline” in the header. The browser caches the complete app, including all exercises, lessons, notation and animation code. You can then disconnect and reload any page. Installation requires HTTPS or localhost.

Audio and MIDI

Audio is synthesised locally. MIDI access is requested only when you select the connection control. The app does not use your microphone or record your voice.

Keep a copy of your progress

Clearing browser data, using private browsing or switching browsers can remove access to your saved practice. Export a JSON backup or a CSV of your answers from Settings. A backup restore is available there too.

Removing data

Reset practice history in Settings to remove answers, sessions and lesson completions. Favourites, presets and preferences are kept. To remove everything, clear this site’s data in your browser settings. Saved data belongs to the browser and device you used.
